Welcome to Kindergarten! I am Mrs. Bridges. It is my desire to nurture your child's curiosity for learning and maximize their growth socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
After teaching 2nd grade for 3 years, I made the move to first grade. I taught 3 years of first grade before making my final transition to kindergarten. Kindergarten is my home and passion, and I couldn't be more thrilled than to have your child! I am Early Childhood and Elementary Education certified. I have a masters degree in Divergent Learning, and am National Board Certified as an Early Childhood Specialist. I have my Reading Endorsement, which means I am trained to meet 'read to succeed' requirements, and have been Columbia Area Reading Council's Distinguished Teacher of Reading. I was 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year!
My husband Chad, is a soccer coach and teacher in district five, and we have three beautiful children. Brayden-my ball of energy, Brooklyn-my dancing princess, and Brynlee-our cheerleading loving baby girl. My mother was a kindergarten teacher for 36 years, and my little sister teaches third grade in Horry County. In our family, teaching is a passion, not a profession.
Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child! Enjoy the year and hold onto every accomplishment, it will be over in a blink!

Hello! I'm very excited to be your child's teacher this year! I look forward to a great year full of learning and growing!
This is my 15th year teaching. I began my teaching career in Richland District 2, and then taught at Lake Murray Elementary School for eight years. I have loved being a Purple Martin for the past four years!
I was born and raised in Blythewood, SC. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina and my Master's Degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College.
I love spending time with family and friends. My husband and I have two daughters, Blakelyn and Lainey. I have four dogs, and I enjoy going to the lake, doing crafts, farming, fishing, shopping, exercising, and cheering on the GAMECOCKS!
I look forward to a wonderful year with you in Kindergarten!

I am very happy to be apart of the Piney Woods family. I have an Associates in Applied Science with a major in Early Care and Education.
When I am not enjoying work, I like to spend time with my family, cook, sew, and read a good book.
I am excited to get to know your child!
